Professional drivers operating trucks over 3.5 tonnes are required to complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years to maintain their Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). This essential training can only be delivered by approved trainers from recognised CPC Training Centres, and courses must be DVSA-approved, typically lasting 7 hours.
