The cost of fuel is a topic on the minds of all businesses across the UK operating a fleet of vehicles, especially as their is talk of fuel heading for a record high in 2010. With fuel typically accounting for between 30 and 40 per cent of a business’ operating costs, Fleet managers and business owners are under pressure to find ways to run their vehicles more efficiently.
EcoTrak+ is proven fuel reduction technology that saves on average 10% of fuel costs, by simply remapping the vehicle’s engine management software with a brand new economy tuned prioritised file, underwritten by Norwich Union, without effecting the warranty. By economy remapping the vehicle’s ECU, the vehicle’s software can be optimised, which enables the delivery of consistent and sustainable savings on fuel.
EcoTrak+ is an extension to the award winning EcoTrak fuel and vehicle management system, which is saving businesses who operate a fleet of vehicles in excess of 10% on their fuel costs. It does this by allowing fleet managers to monitor and manage their fuel usage in real time and draw on comprehensive league table reports, showing individual driver behaviours, such as speed, MPG and cruise time, using CANbus technology.
Using this data, fleet managers are then in a position to affect change throughout their fleet and drive cost savings. By simply increasing the MPG that is being achieved, significant cost savings can be realised.
