SupaTrak Sponsor an Entrant in the Cannonball 8000
SupaTrak are proud to have been one of the sponsors of the vehicle “Six Offender” entered into the Cannonball 8000 – London to Rome 2005.
Six Offender (an Audi RS6) set off from Earls Court in London on 16th September along with 119 other cars ranging from Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis as well as a unique replica of the 'General Lee' - Dukes of Hazzard and the original Delorian used in the epic Back to the Future Movies.
SupaTrak teamed up with Competitive Tracking and the Six Offender driving team to track the vehicle using the SupaTrak tracking solution over three gruelling days and 1500 miles of hard driving that takes in such places as the infamous Nurburgring and the equally infamous Oktober Fest leaving on the weekend of 16th, 17th & 18th September 2005.
Unfortunately, on day two of the journey, the Audi developed a serious technical problem which forced the team to return to base. Audi did try to sort it out but it became obvious it would not be safe to continue. However, the technology has been very well received and the SupaTrak sales team have had a number of sales enquiries from their involvement in this high profile event.
