Ramage Transport Chooses CMS SupaTrak
Ramage Transport, one of the UK’s leading logistics companies, has chosen CMS SupaTrak as its main provider of fuel saving technology.
After exploring a number of available solutions, Ramage Transport opted to install SupaTrak’s award-winning product, EcoTrak, in no less than 44 of its DAF XF general haulage vehicles. Commenting on the new partnership, a spokesperson for Ramage Transport said: “CMS SupaTrak offer a long term solution to monitor and manage our drivers in order to take control of our fuels costs”.
EcoTrak is one of SupaTrak’s most innovative and successful products, comprising fuel saving technology that provides commercial fleet operators with the opportunity to control spending in a world dominated by rapidly rising fuel costs. As many motorists struggle to afford the latest increase in fuel duty and VAT, haulage firms and commercial operators can avail of EcoTrak to make critical savings.
EcoTrak works by compiling a number of reports on both the driver and vehicle. The technology charts engine load, duration of cruise control and idling time in addition to various other parameters, including revolutions per minute (RPM) and miles per gallon (MPG).
The compilation of statistical data enables operators to analyse the behaviour of drivers with the aim of making changes to routes, driving styles and so on. Vehicle performance can also be assessed indirectly by EcoTrak, which provides typical savings of up to 20 per cent and serves to reduce a company’s carbon footprint.
Commenting on the partnership with Ramage Transport, a spokesperson for SupaTrak said: “This deal highlights the importance of vehicle tracking and fuel saving technology, which many haulage firms now recognise as being essential to their survival. Fuel costs continue to rise and, even if the Government listens to the industry and implements a price stabiliser, many companies face extinction unless fleet management changes are implemented”.
