New Tracking Service Offers Customers Full Management Of Their Mobile Assets

With IT systems now the backbone of most companies in today’s fast moving and ever changing business environment there is little room for the ‘fit a new gizmo and go’ mentality that used to be a feature of business development.

All companies and particularly those with mobile assets, now choose their technology system suppliers very carefully and expect high levels of after sales support.

Recognising this, and the fact that the visibility of any company’s vehicle and mobile workforce is vital to meet growing customer service demands and, ultimately, the profitability of the business, CMS Global Technologies has just launched a new Fully Managed Service.

The Swindon-based company, already renowned for its SupaTrak vehicle tracking system and a host of other wireless communication systems that enable customers to boost business operations efficiency by controlling their mobile assets more effectively, now provides everything a company needs to handle large volume mobility deployments.

The CMS Fully Managed Service provides all the components a company needs to set up and run a mobility deployment and once in place, supports them from a fully staffed customer service centre located in the UK that is accessible 24/7.
Typical issues any company considering mobility deployment include:

Device selection and procurement

  • Client application selection and development
  • Selecting a suitable wireless middleware gateway
  • Interfacing the system to an existing back office system
  • Mobile network connection and SIM provisioning
  • The fulfilment of devices
  • Web development and hosting
  • Deployment training
  • Legislative compliance
  • Documentation
  • Ongoing support

And whilst the service may be new, the CMS staff that provide it certainly are not. They all have considerable experience with a number of existing CMS clients that have been enjoying the benefits of this approach for some time.

As companies such as Royal Mail, Christian Salvesen, the RAC, Thames Waters and others with a large mobile workforce know, in the event of a problem they only to make one call to resolve it.

“We originally developed the Fully Managed System concept to meet the specific needs of a small group of core clients and have now refined and developed it so that it has the flexibility and functionality to be made available to every customer, no matter what size their company or mobile assets,” says CMS Managing Director Jason Airey.
“The move represents a significant improvement in the way companies can now source, implement and manage the mobile communication and tracking systems they need to improve productivity and remain competitive.

“We strongly believe they will soon come to appreciate the enormous benefits that such an approach offers and are confident that more and more companies will choose our Fully Managed Service as they start to realise the added confidence and reassurance it provides when they are striving to find the optimum solution for managing and controlling mobile deployment at all levels,” he adds.
