In a short time CMS’ groundbreaking SupaTrak vehicle tracking system has transformed the way safety equipmentfirm Safetyworks and Solutions Ltd operates
Oxfordshire-based Safetyworks and Solutions Ltd, a majorprovider of solutions for safe access in and around buildings, installed the innovative system in two-thirdsof its fleet just a few months ago.
But already Safetyworks, which was founded in 1999 andoperates all over the UK and in mainland Europe, is reaping the benefits.
Safetyworks needed to keep track of the movements oftheir fleet in order to achieve optimum efficiency and customer service.
Contracts Manager Robin Miles Hardaway said: “If adriver can’t find where they need to go we can direct them there within 20 minutes.
“It also helps with our insurance if a vehicle should gomissing”.
“We can pinpoint where everybody is and where they have got to go and we can give customers up to date information.”
“Not only does it help with our scheduling, it helps our customers plan theirs.”
“Rather than spend time running round we can tell our drivers where they need to be, and if we get another job we can see where our drivers are in relation to its location.”
SupaTrak also allows Safetyworks to keep track of drivers’ hours, especially considering a number of vehicles operate away from the firm’s main hub.
Mr Hardaway added: “It’s never normally a problem but it’s nice to know it’s there.”
