Buckinghamshire based recruitment company, LinkLife was founded in 2001 to provide staffing services within the food production industry and has since expanded into a number of different industry sectors to include manufacturing, warehousing, building, pickers/packers, catering and hospitality to name but a few.
The business operates a mixed fleet of 20 vehicles, including cars and LCVs and allows their drivers to take them home at the end of each day. As with all businesses operating a fleet of vehicles, fuel costs represent a significant overhead and like many businesses across the UK,
LinkLife were looking for a way to control their fuel costs. LinkLife reduces fuel costs with SupaTrak On Board LinkLife approached CMS SupaTrak to help them reduce their costs and after a trial period, chose the SupaTrak vehicle tracking solution to assist them to achieve this.
SupaTrak now allows the business to monitor their fuel costs effectively and reliably identify where excess fuel is being used. Although the drivers are allowed to take the vehicles home after work, they are not permitted to drive the vehicles out of the agreed working hours. Before installing SupaTrak, LinkLife had no way of monitoring vehicle usage and how much fuel was being used outside of working hours.
Since SupaTrak has been implemented and the drivers have been informed of the technology installation, LinkLife's Clair Stone reports that the business has noticed "a significant reduction in fuel usage". She explains that "the business calculates its fuel usage on a litres consumed per hour basis and since we have started using SupaTrak, our hourly fuel costs have reduced".
